Churchill

Churchill ward runs along the Thames from Claverton Street to Chelsea Bridge. It contains the Churchill Gardens and Ebury Bridge Road estates as well as the area around Pimlico Road and Ebury Square.

Well-known places in the ward include Victoria Coach Station, Orange Square Market and Belgravia Police Station in the north of the ward as well as Grosvenor Dock canal basinĀ and Lupus Street shops in the south. Churchill also contains the former site of Chelsea Barracks (currently awaiting redevelopment)

Naomi Smith, Tim Mougenot and Paul Pettinger were the Liberal Democrat candidates for Churchill ward in 2010. The Lib Dem vote doubled from four years ago to 25%.

Naomi works in finance education in Pimlico and was also the local parliamentary candidate. Tim works in social care for a nearby local council. Paul is a former Exeter city councillor now living in London. He works for a charity in WC1. All three live in the ward.

Lib Dem volunteers produce and deliver regular editions of Focus, the Liberal Democrats’ local newsletter for Churchill ward. If you missed one, or want to refer to a previous issue, you can read them online here.
