Tachbrook is the smallest ward in Pimlico, bounded mostly by Claverton Street, Charlwood Street and Vauxhall Bridge Road. Tachbrook is almost entirely made up of flats, covering the Aylesford Road, Longmoore and Lillington Gardens estates. Also included are St. George’s Square, Dolphin Square and part of Belgrave Road.
The Longmoore and Lillington flats are listed buildings and are possibly the most obvious local landmarks. The ward also includes Pimlico tube station and Pimlico library, the Pimlico Academy and Vauxhall Bridge Road Post Office.
On May 6th 2010 Rosalind Edwards, Jane Smithard and Ben Mathis will be your Liberal Democrat candidates for Tachbrook ward.
Rosalind is a film maker who has worked with charities, pressure groups and music artists. Jane has lived locally for over 20 years and has a teenage son. Ben spent several years working for a large local supermarket and now works for Westminster Liberal Democrats.
